Bowl Leader
I have music degrees, but throughout my childhood I also always loved working with computers. I worked for on-campus IT during my undergrad years. I then used those tech support skills to pivot to phone support when I was struggling to pay bills through audio/music. I then worked my way up to analyst work, and then hybrid analyst-developer work. When I was working my way up, I kept doing code projects on the side and showing them to leadership, who appreciated the work despite me not having the title yet. This helped me move into more technical roles with each step.
I’m a founder. But I advise people to get a certificate on coursera in a tech adjacent area.
