I got laid off from deloitte. Now i work in cre asset management. I don't love my job. I am on visa (opt stem) . I need to work on finding happiness with my work to be more productive and be happy. I am very depressed and therapy isn't helping. If anyone is in a similar situation or can offer support or advice I would greatly appreciate it. TIA.

What are the next step after H1B petition approval? Do we have to book visa appointment or company does that on our behalf?

I believe most members of this group are tense & anxious owing to the uncertainty surrounding H1b. Can we have members post some positive stories here ? Cases of extension/transfer approval( w/wo RFE)

I have an H1b which I received in 2019 and was valid till august2021, due to covid I wasn't able to travel and then I switched to another firm last year in November. If I get visa transfer, will it provide me a validity back as I haven't used any on site time on that visa.

Need help: my dad did an interview for US citizenship in May and he passed but they said they will do some ‘investigation’ and will hear back within 120 days. Its been more than that and we haven’t heard back. Why if you are on H1B is so much problematic for vendors looking for contractors ? Vendors keep on asking to join on W2 rather that Corp to Corp although for employees on H1B we cannot join on W2 due to immigration issues. Point being does it matter for end client , if the contractor is coming as W2 or not ?
