I have received offer from Shell and SAP labs is in final stage salary discussion. Shell is offering 6 lacs more than @SAP labs. I have tried to negotiate a lot from SAP but they are not ready. They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Should I join @SAP considering its a Product based and good WLB and learning? Teck Stack - Java/Micro-services/cloud YOE - 11yrs

How much do strategy directors make these days?
Toronto ad fish 🤠 I’ve spent most of my career working as a copywriter in London (6 years here, 2 years Toronto) and the market is pretty different here. I’m planning on moving back home but wondered….how do you find work in Toronto? Agencies barely post openings, is the recruiter scene strong? Is it mostly who you know?

Hey it's not much, but if you wanna discuss salary I'm super open to the conversation and have a few friends around the same level with the same mindset 🙂
Hi! I’m a senior strategist and I’d also be super interested in chatting about salary.. moving from NYC to TO
I think seriously underpaid / overworked is the reality in most agencies in Canada right now. Particularly from a planning side as there are very few, if any, planning roles opening up.
Most people are expecting a second round of layoffs - at the holdco’s at least - before the end of the year, so lots of people I’ve talked to are just trying to get through and see what happens in 2021.
In this market I wouldn’t expect a counteroffer. Only give notice if you’ve signed and locked in the other job. Even if you’re well regarded... everyone who leaves is one less layoff, and resigning is a lot cheaper and optically better than a layoff.
There's not a ton of Canadian info here, but I can tell you that I'm a Canadian working in a HCOL city in the US and I make twice what I'd be earning in the same role in Toronto (once you factor in exchange rate): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11obKJpckWJNyEYPdhHM0iaGp0x4QoVk_7aitRC5zVlc/edit

Association of registered graphic designers just released this last week.
It's not just designer salaries.
And take it with a grain of salt, cuz there are some exceptionally low salaries in the days, which can skew everything lower.
No strategy salaries ☹️
