Let me reiterate:
If you are a creative, run. The current CCO killed whatever spirit was there. I think he tried, but he’s basically on ECD level of power here. His inability to pursue the real, hi-quality of work, and at times openly shaming the most ambitious creatives, has caused him to lose respect in the eyes of his teams. All the good are already gone are they are leaving. The shop is trying to salvage what’s left of its - of what was an embryo of creative culture - spirit by executing more ngo campaign - but the game is over.
This is not an ad agency. It’s a consultancy full of people who were not good enough to get hired at the Big 4.
If you’re an account person or a planner, you will love it. There will be lots of client interaction, a lot of camaraderie spanning strategy/account/PM/analytics, you really will love it.
Analytics is very strong at FCB. Investing in analytics was a good bet by Kelly. It pays off, and will pay off even more in the years to come.

I left because of the toxic work culture there. The way I was treated by my own peers was literally criminal. I felt sick to my stomach going into work everyday to the point where I ended up quitting and going to HR. obviously they did absolutely nothing about it but by far the most toxic work environment I’ve ever worked in in my life
Everyone is leaving and being replaced with desperate people who couldn’t get a job anywhere else.

If you’re in creative, don’t do it. It’s gone downhill. Priorities are skewed, the wrong people get celebrated over and over, structure/allocations/resourcing is pure chaos, and account runs the place.
Do you like to sweat? If so, this is the shop.

I see a lot of people talking about how Account folks love it here (and some rather derogatory comments about how Account “runs the place”—on the contrary, I’d argue Creative and a strong desire for awards runs the agency). Well, take it from an Account person who worked at FCB—it depends what brand you’re on. It can be a great place for Account folks to grow, but be cautious about Healthcare roles. I’ve heard there are some organizational and support/resourcing struggles there.
Would verify this on the HC side. Staffing is abysmal, there seem to be 1-2 creatives running each brand, you'll be lucky if you have a PM and if you get hired on for one brand, there's no saying you'll shortly get put on a super-pharma brand to kill any lasting creative energy you had when you came in.
Yes - I do enjoy it. I think if you want to work hard and depending on the account, can be a good experience. There are certainly issues with work/life at times but I have found a good ebb and flow where I still have some lighter weeks and usually don’t work weekends. Not everyone’s experience however.
Thanks for sharing! Feel like we all sign up for long hours and possible weekend work when going into advertising but having a work/life balance is important

For creatives, you’ll work 24/7 and get nothing out of it.
Unless you do nothing, in this case you might get promoted.
