I got a call from DXC for senior Java developer position in Bucharest (Romania). They have mentioned a pay scale of 17k to 18k RON per month after tax cutting
If i got selected I am planning to move with my family.
Will there be any savings and what would be cost of living for a 3 member family there.

Listen. If you currently work at Google there’s almost no way moving to Ogilvy makes sense. Have you looked at the packages!?
All that to say, Godspeed.

Ah! Well that makes sense. Creatively, Ogilvy has been spending an industry leading amount of money to bring in the best folks. So, if you have a creative opportunity and that’s what you care about then go for it. You could certainly do worse.
Ogilvy is so toxic!!! Do not work there. People are only there for themselves and you will feel extremely isolated and they will make sure you are isolated. Especially in the paid media dept. The head of that dept has an ego trip and just cares about money coming in and also herself. Doesn’t care about anyone else or the worker “bees”. She will trash them behind their backs. And whoever she doesn’t like she fires without warning. You are warn, do not work there.
STAY AWAY!! I am applying to other positions right now and can’t wait to leave. Ogilvy is living in the past and clinging to “David Ogilvy isms” and don’t live up to their reputation anymore. Other agencies are putting out better and more impactful work. Toxic culture, lots of turn over, very catty. Low pay, no inflation adjustment. They even had the audacity to respond to inquiries about adjusting wages with “we didn’t lower your pay during WFH” in a company wide meeting. I’ve worked in 3 different NA locations during my time here and all of this applies across the board

Good people but you’ll work a lot
A lil toxic imo🙃

Pretty solidly average. They’re trying hard to rebuild the agency, but it’s been neglected and poorly led for the last decade.
They’ve hired some talented senior leaders to orchestrate the turn around, so it may be on the upswing, but too early to tell whether that will work out or not.
Sad news… Sad reality….
Avoid any office in the US and you will be good.
Ogilvy NY influencer is toxic especially if you’re bipoc. All posts above are true. It’s sad that racism is still alive in our industry - the influencer/social/strategy leads are a clique of southern belles who have lived in a bubble and anything that is diverse to them is seen as a negative. Top talent has been driven out - truly sad and unfair to see.
As for account teams on the Pr side, folks are generally kind but you can expect to burn the midnight oil. When leadership sets the tone of working at ungodly hours and lives in a place of saying yes to clients, you’re already set up to fail. Ogilvy (pr and influencer) are also hurting financially. They’re quietly laying off folks and are in a place of needing to desperately sell new biz in order break even. Dreams of profit are long gone. If you’re looking for some sort of security in this rocky economy, don’t go to Ogilvy. It’s not a safe place for stability at the moment.
