Anyone here working at Cascadia Consulting? Currently at a T2/MBB firm but looking to make the move to a boutique for various reasons.

Would love to hear anyone's inputs on their experiences so far!

Never heard of them
But why wouldn't you just move to industry. Probably similar pay, better brand, better wlb

I'm also curious about why you're looking to make the move to boutique.

Sorry mot to be particular and an elitist, but you’re either at a T2 or MBB, you can’t be at both.

In any event, I think it was founded by former KPMG and Secor (KPMG acquired) Consultants.

I would say if you’re MBB you’d be one of their top candidates, compared to the rest of their team which largely T3 and industry local government industry folks.

Based on title and the firms available in Vancouver, I'd say neither.. I'd guess Deloitte

And SVP to mention SECOR haha, you've been around in the Vancouver consulting scene that's for sure

For staff/seniors in public accounting. Would you rather be paid 1 1/2 for your tax season overtime hours or would you prefer to wait for a big fat bonus check at the end of the company year? I heard KMPG paid overtime at 1.5 back in the day when the others didn't. I am sure they have now cut that out though.

Living in Van. Previously lived in Toronto. Obviously rent prices are high as is cost of living. Generally go out and spend more often living in a city. Boyfriend and I on good salary but not saving much due to the above. Before we move home to our own country, we’d love to spend a year close to Vancouver where rent is cheaper, temptation is less, to save. A commute to Vancouver 1-2 times a month needs to be possible (his job). That can be a flight if it’s not crazy. Thoughts? Recommendations?
