Here in my jx, in little league/entry level court, it’s pretty typical judges award 2x the medical bills.

4th year at a mid size PI firm. Got pulled from litigating MVAs to help this solo we hired start a med Mal/nursing home practice. 1 year in and it looks like I’m two steps backwards in terms of getting paid because we’re a year or more out from a lot of the fees hitting. Strictly defense work; started out with the City Law Dept, did a year and a half of med mal/construction, and for past year and a half have been at a well known defense firm working on high exposure construction accident cases. Does anyone have any advice on how approach discussions about compensation and what a market level comp package would or should look like?
