~140-170k USD for an EM in Singapore
Pros:
+ Good quality management consulting work with clients across pharma, consumer health, med devices, public health, providers, private equity firms
+ For projects emanating from SEA HQs of clients, IQVIA is among the top go to options for MC work
+ SEA team (~40 consultants based in Singapore) is very different from our counterparts in China, Japan, Australia, etc. We have an impressive mix of folks from diverse backgrounds - culturally (>10 nationalities), education (typical MBAs, PhDs, engineers, science and arts grads), experiences (ex-consultants, ex-industry, ex-banking, etc.)
+ Typically, we work from our own office, and not from the client office. Travel is restricted to steercos, workshops, etc. This results in a more cohesive consulting team, leveraging expertise across the board and reduces travel (i.e., if you're looking for less travel)
Cons:
- Everybody upwards of the Consultant level works on multiple projects, with EMs sometimes on 4-5 projects simultaneously (problem of plenty)
- Being publicly listed, principals and management chase quarterly targets thereby, at times, compromising WLB for the teams
- Lower salary increments with promotions (as compared to other consulting firms in SG), in the range of ~12-18%
thanks IQVIA 1 your insights are really valuable
