Breville is the best I've used, with built in grinder. I've had mine about 6 years and still going strong
What are you looking for? Do you want to dig deep into nuance, and spend time giving things like ground and dose size, tamping pressure, etc? Or do you want something that will give you a consistently "pretty good" drink with the ease of a button push? Do you have a price range in mind that you'd like to stay around?
Sa 1- Easy comfortable drink..
I am thinking right now to get a milk steamer/frother. As I like my coffeee but the milk parts fell flat and it looks so shady..
For a basic/inexpensive machine, the delonghi ec155 is a decent starting point. For under $100 you get a pressurized portafilter to pull a reasonable espresso shot without investing in an expensive ($300+) grinder. The steam wand is fine (for the price point) and if you want an incremental upgrade from there you can search the web for steam wand miss that will improve it. Going up from there, for around $500 is the delonghi magnifica eaam 3300. It's a step up in that it has a built in grinder (so you always are using fresh ground coffee, which is important), the steam is better/more powerful, and it's capable of making a variety of drinks with the push off a button. Takes up more counter space, but is much more legit if a kitchen appliances (and looks the part). I can go up from there, but that's a rabbit hole of separate grinders and machines that I'd need waaaaaay more info from you before making suggestions (I certainly can if needed, as that's the space I'm in, but won't bore you if not needed)! :)
