Any US companies hiring remote @ Canada ?
What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.

This is a mood 😅

Lived in LA before here and went to SD a few times. I'll say it's a very different vibe, even from other parts of California like LA or SF. It's a small town with a party/touristy vibe. So kinda like dumbo.
Can I ask why not LA?

OP. LA is huge and a lot of what is said is bs. People go to santa monica or west Hollywood and call it a day. Check out Culver city.
I personally want more of a city than SD would offer.
Are you guys going to keep east coast hours? Cos if so, hope you guys are morning people
He already works on west coast hours & I can manipulate my hours to adjust to the time difference.
Thinking about doing the same thing later this summer
Definitely consider Huntington, Newport, and Laguna. San Diego isn’t my fav - sprawling and lots of families / tourists. LA is less than an hour from OC when you want “big city” things but OC pretty much has it all now (been here 10 years now).
Lived in NYC and OC. SD is definitely lay back, almost feeling lazy. Very kind people, slow paced, liberal. If you travel from LA to SD, you feel an instant relief in mind and body once you enter SD. So consider 180 degree flip from NYC. Cultures are mixed with Mexico and beach/hiking cultures. I felt being bored there for living everyday but if you don’t need a hyper energy for your job, SD is a good place. It gets chilly and less Sunny(compared to OC or LA) sometimes due to the temperature of the surrounding currents.
I did this!!! Moved out of NYC 8 months ago, traveled around, got to San Diego 3 months ago and stayed since! Best decision! But I’m heading back to NYC next week for spring & summer :)
I visited last year and enjoyed the vibe just north of SD in Encinitas/Solana/Del Mar. Since your jobs are remote you could try Airbnbs in different areas.
Def check out all the beach towns! I moved to Newport and didn’t know a soul. Way easier to integrate in a beach town than big city. Plus, our Equinox is superior…former Sports Club LA ;)
What do you do.

Alright people, I going to explore the west coast. Thank you all for the advice! x
