I’m a pharmacist and currently doing an MBA. I have only 2 YOE as a pharmacist and I’m trying to find a career path that will suit me. How do you know if this profession is for you? I gave up some hobbies I enjoy during busy season, but have more time for summer hobbies. I don’t want to be like many senior managers in my firm where you stick it out for 10-15 years, then look back with regrets. How useful is having worked with the PE practice (deal strategy, CDDs, etc.) of a consulting firm vs any other one when trying to break into PE? I understand it's probably better to come from such units but I wanted to understand in which ways it helps. Is it actually irreplaceable skills vs understanding of sector dynamics vs pure prestige?

Is it crazy to switch a job while undergoing IVF?
I’ve been in my current role for almost 4 years. While I am generally happy, & have flexibility with time off for personal matters, there are things that bother me. I have an offer for way more money, manager title (which I want), much larger bonus & IVF benefit is better. However, I’m in the middle of stims and it is STRESSFUL. Part of me can’t imagine taking on a new role while I’m in the middle of this. But also feel like I can’t pass it up

I currently work as a contracted Operations Manager but I’m in need of something a little more sufficient as far as salary. I have experience in Management both restaurant, healthcare, and I suppose this particular position counts too I just don’t know how to specify it. I really want to get out of the 35-40k salary range and I have the experience to do it just not the degree. I think I suck at interviews too (I get really nervous and start doubting myself). Any tips or suggestions?

I left practice 12 years ago. I became the Director of International Programs at a law school, which was great for a while. But, the bureaucracy eventually got to me. While there, I started a podcast called The Lawyer’s Escape Pod, interviewing lawyers who’d switched careers. And that put me on my new path. Rant: my boyfriend is so annoying with this diet! I GET IT. You want to eat healthy! But when you have your friends at our place every other weekend they order pizza and you devour most of 2 boxes!
