Anyone starting to feel like 'remote' in a job posting is just to lure people in? Applied for a copywriter role that was remote except one day a week in the office (which is near enough to me).

During a phone interview today was a HR assistant, she swore it never said remote and the location was somewhere totally different than advertised.

Human interest stories might not be where the money is, but making the switch has saved my sanity after the tragedy I’ve covered the past few years.

Journalism is the best job in the world but I feel like people are less likely to take my work seriously because I am female. So it's like they automatically think the only things I would be good at writing about are fluffy little human interest stories. I'm just a reporter like everyone else. Is there some way I can tell my supervisor that yes, I do like those stories, but I like being a serious reporter even more?
