Do a search for “microcurrent conductive gel Reddit” and you’ll find some dupes. I use Hadolabo Gokujyun Premium with the FOREO Bear, but you have to reapply it frequently, which isn’t an issue because it’s super cheap.
That and given it’s hyaluronic acid, you’re going to get an extra plumping effect. I mist my face with a spray toner or Evian spray before applying since supposedly HA works better on damp skin.
Let me know if you find another brand since I’m almost out and want to give another product a go.
Glad I found your comment about dupes, PR. I might give it a try :)
I use the garnier aloe Vera 3-in-1 face moisturiser and mask. (It has a different name in UK v US but it’s basically a pot of clear jelly).
I like it because I apply over the whole face before starting microcurrent and don’t need to reapply mid session. It’s not sticky.
It’s a bit a pain to take off because it’s, well, very jelly.
Wish there was something more liquid that didn’t need reapplying mid session (hate having to stop to reapply). The biggest reason why I’m not consistent with microcurrent is because I haven’t yet found the perfect gel, but of all the ones I tried this was the most convenient to use.
Hello! I found this. Hope this helps. https://edition.cnn.com/cnn-underscored/reviews/theraface-pro
I use the UB Ultrasound Gel. It's a great cheaper alternative that's both alcohol and fragrance free, and it has hyaluronic acid which works wonders for your skin.
My alternative is the 7E Wellness ReStore Conductive Gel. It works just as well as the TheraFace one and I would recommend it to those with more mature skin.
The Foreo Serum works really well as a microcurrent conductive gel alternative. You only need a little of it since it goes a long way.
You can generally just use any water-based gels and serums. You just have to make sure they're oil free so it doesn't interfere with the microcurrents.
I've been using the Jellen peptide Power Gel. It's budget friendly and you can get more bang for your buck!
I was offered to use TheraFace last year. I didn't buy it although my sister did. There isn't really much change if you ask me. She said her skin was a lot smoother and softer. But I don't really see so much difference.
