In the current lateral market what is the usual time for hearing a decision after a final round of interviews? For context, final round went really well, it’s not even been a week yet, they thought I was a great fit etc, said they’re expanding and looking to hire someone ASAP. Just wanted to know what others’ experiences have been like.

I joined 6 months ago as a L5 manager. I like my team but don't enjoy the work. I also feel I was down levelled at the time of joining. Should I wait 6 months and move internally? How easy is internal mobility especially if I were to target a L6 role? Would applying outside be wise ?

Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

I have been at my current firm for about 1.5 years, and in that entire time the partner in my group hasn't been out of the office a single time. Is that normal? They offer two options: the “traditional” course (which lasts around 2.5 months) and an extended 6-month course.
