Anyone work in both consulting and internal strategy? How would you compare the 2?

I am feeling some depression due to COVID and I want to move back to Misouri to be closer to my parents, but I'm worried about looking for jobs outside of the major tech cities and moving in general. Any advice?

Thanks to covid I was able to achieve this salary at just 7 yoe. When I joined the industry my manager at 10+ experience was earning 10-12 lakhs.

So my work has unlimited PTO -global company. I'm based in uk and line manager is in USA. he said I'm taking to much time off and has brought it up with upper management. I have taken in total to date 22 days with 8 (4 include an operation) more to go. My performance is above target. I just feel blindsided.

If I get through process and FAANG role makes me an offer they will see I have been at a new job (that I didn’t disclose) for a ~month in the background check, will this hurt me? Did an interview yesterday that was supposed to be behavioral, but turned out to be more like the case interviews I did in undergrad. I think I showed off my business knowledge, but he kept harping on my lack of an official framework (vs me saying "I'd explore it from different stakeholder perspectives: customer, line employee, management"); pretty sure he considered it a failure. I am looking to move because for some reason I am hand-held a lot and given simpler tasks, so I am getting bored and want more challenging / much more fast paced environment. How common are credit checks for roles in accounting or finance positions? Will high utilization on credit card balances and low credit score be a deal breaker?
