Anyone work or have insight into a tax manager role at Seiler LLP in CA? This would be a fully remote position as I am not in CA.

I interviewed with them and they seem nice, but I think they work a lot and also use gosystems and I don’t have experience with that system. They pay well and offer remote so there’s that.

More than 55 hours lol, but that could have changed since I interviewed 2 years ago.

I’m taking the GMAT in September and would like to include my score on my applications to other firms. Based on what I’m getting in practice, it would significantly improve my resume. However, I heard many firms, particularly MBB, have hiring windows in August, so applying later would hurt my chances. Is this true, and if so, when should I apply? Is it possible to apply earlier and then fill in the recruiter on my GMAT score while I’m in the process?

Recent lateral junior associate in brand new practice where I'm the only associate. I'm probably going to bill 1,500 hours max this year due to being very slow and taking time off for a delayed honeymoon which I disclosed during my interview process. I have been told my work product is good, I don't turn anything down, I participate in non-billable work, I'm responsive and I always let people know I'm available to help. Do I need to be worried about getting fired for low hours?

Experienced hires- how long did it take for you to hear from a recruiter after you submitted your application?

If you have to pay back a sign on bonus do you get back the withholding on it when you file your tax returns? For instance if the sign on bonus is 10k, there si withholding on that. Two questions for those of you at Big 4/other national firms:

1) At what level do you really start to see the entire tax return from start to finish?

I work at a smaller regional firm with roughly 70 employees (never been at a firm larger than 300 people), and I’ve been involved with many interviews of candidates from Big 4 firms where I walked away very unimpressed. Cont...

Boomerang to Big 4?
I switched from Big 4 to a mid-sized firm a few months ago. The sole reason was for for a good pay raise. However, I'm not loving the new job as much, because of lack of resources, outdated technology, and work opportunities are not what I thought. Is it crazy to go back to my old firm? I really liked my coworkers there, and could perhaps ask for a better raise since I left. I maintained good relationships with my old team. Is it bad to leave after only a few months?

I really need help from everyone here: I am a tax senior, and I have offer from both EY and MNP. I was at Deloitte earlier and I am not sure which to pick. Same package/benefits. While EY is a great firm and the partners are amazing and all experiences of Big4 and it's resources, MNP has this charm of a Canadian firm and great culture. I don't know much but people say MNP is a great organization. The people I will work with are all amazing to speak during interview. What to do now?
