What are some good ways to get into management?
I am an individual contributor with ~8 years of experience and a strong track record. I enjoy my work, but am getting a little burnt out being directly customer facing. I also want a bigger seat at the table. I am not the most natural people manager, but want to push myself and take on a new challenge.
What can I do to position myself for this?

Looking for advice (& empathy): Started out in advertising, then became a journalist. Moved to the US for grad school, and back to advertising few years ago. Now stuck at a company where I’m deeply unhappy but they sponsor the visa (not H1B, so it’s not a huge ask). is it worth it to shift to IB or MBB after 7 years in the big four(audit and fdd)? I do think IB and MBB are interesting fields that you can acquire unique skill sets and a good network. But I don’t think I couldn’t keep up already for a daily grind. The reason why I did not pursue it earlier in my career is that I am not from a target school and I do not have an MBA. lol thoughts?
