Anyone working 5:30 pm to 2:30 am shift in Fidelity investments? How good is the work life balance?

PWC AC Kolkata UK team is the worst team.

They put a status call at 10 in the morning and expect to work throughout the day till 9PM with all the calls at night

If someone logs off at 8ish also. It is considered as early off. One the worst work life balance ever in UK supporting organisation.

There is no concept of 9 hours work schedule. I want to name few people but doing it

I want to leave public as a senior, but can’t find anything I’m interested in. I’ve been applying;g for manager and assistant controller roles, which has been really difficult. But I don’t really want a senior accountant role. I was thinking FP and A is a good choice. I’m looking for something that has good career progression and a better WLB balance, pay isn’t so important to me. Has anyone else dealt with this? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have three offers from Shell, BP and Airbus for IT service delivery role.

BP: 23 Lpa + 1L joining bonus with 1 year lock in ( location : pune)
Airbus: 26lpa + 5 L joining bonus with 3 year lock in( location : bangalore)
Shell: 26 lpa ( final offer being rolled out)location : bangalore

Please advice which company would have a good growth story and work life balance....

Airbus looks attractive but have heard some very harsh reviews on work life balance.

Sales and Trading vs PE? What is comp, WLB and career trajectory like. Doing my MBA now and likely going into consulting, but not sure. Might plan to exit to PE but if S&T offers decent hours and similar pay, may just skip the whole consulting to PE business.

I know I'm in the minority here (and I swear this isn't a brag) but is anyone else less stressed this busy season working from home, and finding issues focusing because of it? My work is getting done, but just very very slowly. Thermo Fisher for Data Engineer in AWS and Python and Ameriprise as Lead Developer for Informatica Powercenter. Ameriprise is offering 50k more in my monthly salary than Thermo Fisher. My preference is to join in where I can grow and get a good learning for future career growth. Also, work life balance should be good in the organization.

Recently moved into Tech Sales. Frustrated with my Salary (32K base/year, negligible bonus potential of a few K).
