Day rate v. Hourly I currently accepted a rate for 20 hours a week, which I don’t like doing because I always end up working more. How do you define your hours in these instances and make it known that they aren’t paying you to be available all day long?

What’s your work-life balance like? I feel like I’m constantly working after hours, always balancing multiple projects, hardly ever going through a phase where there isn’t a ton of critical initiatives going on. It definitely wasn’t like this when I was a more junior PMM, but as a Senior PMM, my work-life balance has severely decreased. Is this just the nature of Product Marketing? I am booked on a month-long gig at a great agency and another not as good agency just reached out to book me for a three month gig. The agency I am at has said they could possibly extend me and they just put me on a TV campaign that ships mid March But haven’t definitely said they are extending me past the initial month booking. Would it be bad form to say to the agency I am currently at that another agency wants to book me for three months and ask them to book me for two more months

I recently went freelance as an EP and started my own LLC as well (to get the full benefits of being a freelancer). Some agencies and clients want to pay on a W2 versus 1099 / as an independent contractor. Should I still take the gig if W2 or stand my ground and pass?
