I recently started in a sales role. Have a heavy consulting background (20 years) imagine big four and SI experience. Question - from here how easy or difficult is it to move internally. What areas within SalesForce value the consulting skill set. I have managed large teams and P&L of $20M annual. I’m trying to get a rotation in FDD but my partner is worried about temporarily losing resources in our advisory practice. So, what are some things I could learn in FDD that I could bring back to the advisory practice that might convince the partner to let me go on rotation?

I have chronic health issues and I’m severely depressed. I can’t even get myself to work anymore. If I don’t quit, I’m in serious danger of being fired. I feel that I need to just quit and take time off to get better but feel that it will be a stain on my career. I’m a pretty junior lawyer. Any advice. I just can’t do any work at all and I’m my anxiety and depression is spiraling out of control. I see a therapist I try to cope and it’s not working.

Coming from ACN, senior analyst, 3yrs total experience so far & wanting to get into the data analytics/BI work. Currently have had experience working with SQL developer, OBIEE/OBIA, Teradata in ERP and Healthcare projects. I also have my AWS Cloud Practitioner Cert, hoping to eventually get the Data Analytics Cert later. Do any of you have experience with structuring a technical challenge to where it's the same for each candidate? I was dating someone for about 2.5 years and then we broke up because of COVID and the long distance was making it too difficult to continue. The break up must’ve been like a 4-5 minute FaceTime because I was very distraught. Is it better to have SFH for monthly cash flow or passive MF deals through a private syndicate? Who is still in denial about a housing correction? The Fed just made another .75% increase. Powell said they won’t stop until inflation is 2%. He also said a recession would be better than the consequences of unchecked inflation. He announced he will bring rates to a “restrictive level” until “the job is done”. He said that labor demand needs to soften (ie: layoffs). He very explicitly said he wants to slash demand and that housing needs a “correction”.

Couples without kids, how do you justify buying a house and paying school taxes? Almost all of the good residential areas are with a high school tax. Just curious if childless couples can ever buy and live in nice areas or rent forever

After being mugged and having my things (including my keys) stolen, I was locked out of my townhome after business hours on a weekend. I was told on the phone when dialing my complex’s after hours number (which is managed by a 3rd party company) that my complex’s policy would let me in for a cost of $100 (as it was after hours). After I was let in, property manager informed me the charge was $200. Is there anything I can do here? This is in Minnesota. Help appreciated!!

Anyone have any luck selling a condo in chicago using Redfin? The 1% fee for listing is attractive compared to the standard 6% with an agent. Are there extra fees with RedFin that I should be aware of? Looking to sell as quickly as possible so weighing the options and just starting to interview agents and look around for the best way to get my place listed.

Looked at a house (new build) and MIL said the vinyl windows imply the whole house is probably made with cheap, shoddy materials. She thinks everything has to be wood Marvin windows or bust. With my partner we are considering making a move to the countryside of Switzerland, with a gorgeous RE project offering incredible views on immaculate mountains and lake. However, it is far away, and will require 1h+ train/car commute vs. 10 min biking right now. We are scared it will bite us back at some point, although COVID helped w/ remote working being a new norm. The project will be done 2024, so I hope to have a more relax job by then. Any similar experience to share?

Closing on my first home. Advice for anyone with student loans in administrative forbearance per the Cares act: once your offer is accepted have you student loan servicer put your account back in repayment status.

Accounts in forbearance, even administrative forbearance, are calculated at a higher monthly payment by the underwriter.

My fictitious debt to income ratio was too high for them to approve me, and it took seven days for my loan to be officially back in repayment. So just a heads up.

How big is to big for an initial investment property. Theres a 20 SFH portfolio for sale by me for about a mil. Is this to big to start with initially? I'm less worried about the Financials (feel comfortable on that end) and more worried about the managerial aspect.
