Toronto ad fish 🤠 I’ve spent most of my career working as a copywriter in London (6 years here, 2 years Toronto) and the market is pretty different here. I’m planning on moving back home but wondered….how do you find work in Toronto? Agencies barely post openings, is the recruiter scene strong? Is it mostly who you know?

150k is high end for CD? Who made this, The Kitchen?
Clout is definitely worth being paid below market value in this economy!!
“95k - mid salary for Head of Strategy” is wildly inaccurate.
Could be someone how has a fake ‘head of’ title. Real head of strategy starts with at least a 2.
I’d question the validity of this data based on the source’s motivation as a recruiting / temp staffing company gating their “salary guide” for lead generation.
(those #’s being all over the place aside)
I made 80-100K as an AD with 6-7 years experience 15 years ago.
The $6K delta between “strategist” and “head of strategy” at the high tier tells you everything you need to know about the accuracy of this list.
None of these numbers seem accurate. How did they get this data?
This feels low
Has there ever been a Salary Survey that’s even remotely accurate? Conspiracy theory: HR use these to negotiate us down.

I make $69K as an AD with 5+ years experience in Toronto so idk how accurate this is. I’m probably an outlier though
That's low. Know your worth!
