I’d say Airbnb has become a branded proper noun for vacation rentals, and Uber has become the proper noun for taxi or rideshare.

Coke has become the general term for cola. No one asks for a Pepsi when ordering food. They ask for Coke… “Is Pepsi okay?” “Sure.”
Also, Trump has become synonymous for “cheat,” “liar,” “grift,” and “scam.”

We used to use the word “xerox” to say “photocopy.” Both noun and verb.
Now, of course, nobody photocopies anything.

At Johnson & Johnson Consumer (now hideously rebranded as Kenvue) the paranoia about "Band-Aid" becoming genericized and losing trademark protection is so intense that employees are forbidden from uttering the word. Instead, they are required to refer to them as "BABABs," an acronym for "Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages."
"Advil" instead of "ibuprofen," "Vaseline" instead of "petroleum jelly."
