What’s the longest time you’ve waited to hear back after conducting your final loop interviews for FAANG Companies??? I finished mine last Thursday & they told me I will get my decision between 9/6 - 9/9.
I feel like this wait is torture!!!!!! I’m also a CW so hoping I get this role so I get converted over to an FTE.

Work at MS - can confirm a hiring freeze
Currently in process for JPM, but did heard that GS is in a freeze until Q1'23
Only if you’re straight and white.
Liking to follow thread. *grabs popcorn*
For citi, certain parts are. ICG is in a hiring freeze but not PBWM
Not all of ICG. We have put a few on hold but still have active Recs
I recently got hired by JPM, so I guess not at JPM

GS WM advisor are being hired
i work at blackrock, can confirm they have frozen hiring
At Bank of America in tech, they are slowing down significantly. Here they are evaluating current budgets carefully. One area said no more hiring and the other one said they needed to hire because they could not squeeze anything else out of the current staff so there was a gap that needed to be filled. But I got a recruiting call for KPMG yesterday and I was told they are hiring but only for contractors. My friend at Wells Fargo tech said they are hiring contractors still.
Jpm isn’t
My department has made several hires recently. Our finance partners keep a spreadsheet of everyone who’s ever left so even when we “create new roles” we tie them to a person who left our department and they are treated as replacements and don’t require new budget. Among my own recent hires are “replacements” for people who were never even on my team and for people who left the firm over a year ago.
Pro
MS has started in some areas and WM will start in nov
BofA does in west Florida

VP1 doesn’t understand the cycle of poverty and the role government and society plays in restricting minority’s ability to succeed. It’s quite convenient when you litter yourself with one sides opinion rather than looking at the big picture.
Yes at MS
In my section of back office PBWM, we stop hiring in The spring. We haven’t replaced any of the people who left in the summer and early fall. And from what I can tell have no plans to in the near future. People are stretch thin and production is low. The staffing shortage is probably the only reason why they haven’t laid people off.
I would not know, wasn’t too close to those who left. I’m sure they are losing people who want to stay remote after becoming comfortable with working remote. Then I’m sure burnout is still accruing
They are still hiring in my department (product design) at JPM but primarily to fill the open positions when someone left — not to just add new head counts.
Yes, some of them. I heard Citi is having a hiring freeze right now. I'm not sure if it's the same for all the departments.
For PM Roles yes, until the end of year. BAU after Jan 2023
