Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? Looking for advice on career change. I’m a 45 year old single mom - I’ve been at my job for 18 years. I know I could be doing more. The job isn’t fulfilling and the workplace is rather toxic. The pay is pretty good - when I look at other open positions in my field / the pay is much less or the same. Honestly just unsure of what I “want” to do. I directly said to client that I can't since I have my family here.
When I inform this to my manager he is saying how come u say like this to client.according to kpmg policy u need to travel to anywhere to work.
This is not good right. What should be my reply to the client in such a case and how to handle manager on this?

I received an offer from big 4 with 60% hike. My managers wants to retain and I asked them to match if you want me to be retained.
Now I got a call from GPM yesterday. He used harsh words like "being greedy" "selfish" etc and offered me 30% in the end.
I politely declined but he asked me to reconsider as he said "it would be unfair for the org for you to leave so soon."

Let me know a proper response.

It's been an year there was no communication from the Deloitte apart from the letter of intent. Now recently I received a mail saying we'll be onboarding in phases and onboarding will be completed for 2022 batch by February 2023 . I resigned and my last working day was last day of month .
The company KPMG was suppose to deduct my joining bonus and other things in final settlement. Last working day was last day of month , which means i got full salary.
What they will do in final settlement? Will they ask me to pay separately? I have resigned and joined another organisation. Any one knows what will happen ?
