Hello Everyone,
I am a fresher with over 9+ months of experience as a Data Engineer at Tata Consultancy .
I just needed some suggestions from you experienced folks.🙏
In my current project my colleagues have over 6+ years of experience and are not very supportive and scold me for unnecessary reasons, which is effecting my mental health.😔
Also I am not getting to learn anything.

Really depends on what you're selling. A college classmate of mine got into specialty manufacturing equipment sales right out of college and the average ticket price was high six/low seven figures. His second year in that role he cleared $400k commission by June.
On the flip side, another classmate got into tech sales for a failing software company and barely cleared $100k *total* by year 3.
You can find some of those specialty mfg sales folks on international flights to and from Asia.
Feast or famine in tech sales. It’s really hard to be a salesperson, in any industry.
This. For every story of a sales person making 400k+ there are dozens making under 100k. It can also be very volatile so you might get 400k one year and then get 100k the next (again, extreme situation but it happens).
It is possible. In every field there are smart people and outliers. You need to figure out if it is true or need more information. Short answer- No cannot make that much money. Possible if you are in top quartile in your field and if you can sell stuff
FYI, these are the salary ranges for sales roles at Pinterest. 400k in sales is definitely not outrageous.
What is sales at Pinterest…?
Top of your game. Yes.
I knew people in tech sales for Box that were making 300k 4 years out of under grad. No way box paid the absolute most in the industry. Probably not as amazing rn for someone 4 years out of UG now though.
My uncle makes over 500k a year selling insurance
I know insurance guys that opened their own offices of large insurance companies and make tens of millions, then I know insurance wholesale founders, billionaires .. tons of dough in insurance
My bff husband just put in a 100k+ pool this year in addition to their 150k backyard last year. They go on exclusive cruises a couple of times a year. He says sales are great.
My husband’s boyfriend is great and makes lots of money!
Yes, have multiple friends making this and way more. One of them puts a PPMD comp to shame.
So sales is clearing around the same as IB/private/equity/consulting? I find it hard to believe
EY! That’s what I’m saying, part of me thinks it’s 🧢 because those companies are always going to find a way to cap your commission and I look at OTE for these sales roles it’s never this high
Yes, with commission and large projects.
Absolutely depends what they're selling and how good they are at it.
Real estate. Ask the Oppenheim bros
220k after 3.5 years
Sales obviously lol. Im more of a solutions architect then actual sales tho. Still part of the sales cycle.
