Botiques make more than big 4 and Accenture. Higher risk. More base more bonus. I left big4 for a boutique in Chicago. 130 base and 25k bonus last year as a senior.
What’s the boutique if you don’t mind me asking? It seems like good strategy boutiques in the NY DC areas pay less and work more - but less travel though
Everybody got jokes but Deloitte actually is prestigious, just not to level of Harvard that they used to and might still claim. Having Deloitte on your resume is surely attractive to many many companies. And to answer the question, yes Deloitte generally pays well compared to other Big4.
Underpaid vs MBB.
Pays well compared to industry except FANG.
Deloitte is paying some undergrads upperwards of 80k for their first salary (most probably around 70), plus a bonus lol while most undergrads come out making 55k on average. As far as general pay Deloitte and most big consultancies are definitely paid well. If you want to compare to MBB or top tech industry then that's where they fall well short. But it's silly to say Deloitte pay is crap lol
Idk what the bitterness is all about. I’m happy making 80k my first year of of school 🤷♂️..maybe it just gets worse from here
It does.
Take that as a no...
Deloitte has the best compensation out of the Big 4, but does not pay as well as MBB and has staff work hours like MBB. It’s a trade off.
Making like 160k manager base. I’d say that’s pretty good pay for 10 years out of college.
Depends really on role and service line. Highest paid on both are Senior Managers in S&O, partners get paid well regardless of practice
Deloitte sells you on learning and development, which they do because they know you will leave in 3-4.
Great company, but always look to the exit.
Outside of mbb, Atk, ow, strategy&, lek, D prob pays the best in general. Yes, there’ll be exceptions where others are making more at other big 4, Accenture. etc but generally yes
Accenture pays MBAs more haha
After interviewing for an equivalent role at each, the offers stacked up as McKinsey > Bain > EY > PWC > Deloitte.
Agreed with P1, saying from my personal experience too. Deloitte usually has best comp in big 4.
Depends. If you are already an experienced hire, it varies. I know 2 people getting a 30-40k bump at KPMG compared to what they are currently making at D.
I think straight out of school it’s all the same. EY was 75 and 7.5 signing bonus. My friend from Deloitte had a similar comp. PWC and KPMG definitely were around 60k
PwC offer was already 75k+10k signing 3 years ago. Stop spreading wrong numbers if you dont know
