I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I am expecting an offer from a firm doing business law work but think this might be an opportunity to go to my current employer and ask for a significant raise, with new offer in hand. I owned a business for 6 yrs and had a B2C sales role for 3 yrs after (not SaaS). I’ve now been a B2B2C Key Account Manager at a Fitness Tech scale up for 6 mos and would like to be making more $ so am considering applying to other B2B SaaS companies. I currently own the entire (long) sales cycle from prospecting to account management. I’d like to stay in a similar role in another company. Will I have a difficult time landing an SDR/BDR, AE or CSM role elsewhere? I’m a 48 yo female.

I am interested in pivoting from an agency into a traditional business consultancy role. I have start-up tech experience and four years of Strategy experience for media clients. Are there any projects folks in consulting would recommend I take on to add to build on to a resume? From the outside looking in, it seems like there is an overlap in the core competencies of a strong strategist at an agency and a consultant.
