Bosom Buddies stars Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari as art director and copywriter at a New York advertising agency in the 1980s. Very accurate portrayal of the industry.

The first episode of The Crazy Ones was ROUGH to get through. But they eventually found their footing.
It was nice to meet Robin at Leo Burnett, where one of our CDs from McDonald’s came up with the show. But I didn’t watch the show until years after he passed. And it seems very few saw it at all.
Bewitched is a show about an advertising executive whose wife is key in helping with creative.

The Author of the book, then a copywriter, was fired by its agency (Y&R Paris) after it was released, as the book is a criticism of Danone ( “ Madone “ ) as a client and how bad they were making ads to sell yogurt.

The movies Crazy People, What Women Want, Kramer vs Kramer all have ad people as characters. Not very accurate at all, but they are what what they are. Mad Men is really the most accurate representation I’ve seen.

There was a movie from 1999 called “Suits”. I remember it being pretty accurate for that time period
