I spend my base and save my bonus

I’m a spender. Not cuz I want to be but because I have 5 kids.

Spender 😬

Oh, I am a spender myself lol. Not that I have a ton of extra cash to spend but when I do get some, I use to enjoy my life

Save save save to spend on the big items (and watch our investments grow).

Just bought a new SUV that our family needed with 100% cash two years after buying our dream home. All because of savings and setting ourselves up for success in our 20s and early 30s. Eyes are on a lake house in our 40s! We never have flashy clothes or designer labels, just take care of our things.

I’m a saver. I know I don’t want to work forever, so need to save and invest now so I can retire earlier. Gotta have my game plan

Save 30-40% of my net take home, save 90-100% of bonus.

Probably the antithesis of this bowl - but need some advice. This is for a house in a Southern metro. Built in 1960s completely remodeled in 2000s with some very recent additional remodeling of kitchen and bathrooms. Well kept house. The price will be nearly $1M, the same as something built in 2010+ with similar square footage (because a lot of the price is the lot, its a super expensive zip). Should I steer clear because of the age? Will it cost a ton in maintenance and utility bills?

Hi guys. I have a query with regards to the Income tax proof submission.

So I have claimed exemptions on the following-
1) HRA
2) 5 year term deposit(fixed deposit) under Section 80C
3) Interest on education loan under Section 80E

I have also provided previous employment details.

Guys I didn't know that we have to submit declaration forms as well. Can you please tell me which are the declaration forms that I would need to fill and submit??

Thanks in advance :)

Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?
