Are you able to travel to different campuses as a tax associate in PwC. To network and such? If so, how do you go about this.

You could I guess for fun but it would be on your own money. They aren’t just sending people to a different offices for networking without having a specific event which that happens pretty infrequently.

like

I would try to join some firm initiatives. That way, you are exposed to leaders and people you normally wouldn’t be in your daily work. This will build your network much more than randomly showing up at another office.

like

Yes, you might even be able to step up and take a leadership position in the firm initiative. The network you build will help you get on projects as well.

Lol you can’t do anything at PwC

I was devastated by it. This past month I have been making more payments and paid off my aug statement in full thinking it will boost my credit score. But I don’t know why it went down another 10 points. More below:

First 2 years for CSR is about to be over, and I’m looking at the value of the card against the annual fee. Combined with my other cards (Chase Freedom Unlimited & Flex) and deducting the $300 travel fee, the net benefit is $76. Is that enough to justify keeping the card? The lounge access at airports were a nice benefit, never got to use it since my client travel was through Amtrak.

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
