Good money with less headaches - duality
Such an ideal world doesn't exist in Product roles. You are expected to be on top of things which means dealing with people a lot which further means a lot of headache.
Product Managers esp Senior PMs are supposed to think deep about problem statements, analyse data, come up with great solutions that needs to be presented to the head of the org ( if you're in startups of size <3000 ). Post that there will be lot of coordinations even if you have PMs , APMs under you.
So it's definitely not a job with less headache. But yes if you're passionate it wouldn't appear as a burden.
Not wise to my mind..
Engineering / Coding gives you the ability to create (quite literally).. It's a significantly more valued ability than what a PM does (more orchestrate than create)
Also.. Given Engg is at the downstream of what needs to get done.. The work is more signal than noise..
