Is retail quant trading on a massive rise?
Just got a job at Deloitte M&A in Atlanta and am currently looking to buy a house. Would you advise I buy closer to Atlanta or the suburbs? I personally want to be in the suburbs but I hear the traffic situation is quite bad. Current consultants in Atlanta, how much time do you actually spend in the office vs remote vs client site? Would you advise I try and stay closer to the office?

Two things I learned from this post: 1. My household expenses are off the charts, 2. What DINK stands for (actually googled that) 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Yeah E3, you are leaving money on the table. I only spend what I can pay off immediately (you can tell from my monthly charge that I'm a cheap MoFo), but you are forgoing the perks of credit cards. My most basic is just 1.5% cash but that is free money
@EY3 Admirable results. And if you are one to struggle with controlling spending on credit I agree the costs outweigh the benefits. That said, depending on your spending patterns you could be leaving 10k+ on the table each year. I pay my balances in full each month. Last year I earned ~$15k in cash back and points. Silly to pass that up no matter how much cash you have

@D1, that maybe so, however I'm financially at a place that it doesn't matter. Paid off all debt, my primary home will be paid off in full in about 5 months before I turn 40. That means in 5 months, after I pay monthly household expenses, I could do/buy whatever the hell I want with 90% of my multiple streams of income. As far as I'm concerned, credit card companies could keep their "perks". I am my own bank.
