I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?
Larsen & Toubro Infotech Is it good time to join Cognizant now for Coimbatore location considering too much attrition in recent times along with many policy changes and do they have enough projects or will there be any chance of layoffs if we don't find any projects for our skill(Tableau in my case)? I have another offer with LTI, Coimbatore for same salary but i prefer CTS more than LNT. Cognizant Larsen & Toubro Infotech

Way too vague
The data source is so important and it’s not listed. If this includes Fivvver workers for instance, that’s going to drag down rates significantly
I've often wondered what to charge, so thank you. However, wouldn't this be specific for a region?
Region / Location does not matter.
Your work does.
That’s your value.
In which cities?
“REAL DATA”
Please elaborate. Can we see the data? Can you describe the data? This post is worthless without context.
lol for what services?
Context needed for job function, industry, etc. I know freelance work (1099) charges more than a salary w2 job bc of which entity is paying expenses (taxes, insurance, pto or no), but WHOA there. These numbers are TWICE what w2 employees can expect in the median American geography. Associates or coordinators don't always require BS/BA degrees and pay up to $54k plus benies. Managers are around $90-120k - lots of factors at play, of course.
I had always heard that consultants/freelancers get 30% more than salary, not 100% more.
1099 rates are always higher than w2. Why? Because of RISK (your contract can be cancelled tomorrow without notice if you don’t protect yourself), RESPONSIBILITY (you buy your own health insurance, business insurance, programs, licenses, etc), EXPERTISE (you’re sometimes hired because your expertise in motion, design, luxury, etc). You should charge for your “availability”.. not just “time worked”. If they want you at the office from 9-5, you charge all that time (even if there’s nothing to do).
