Why is onsite so important for us IT people even though we can live a more comfortable life here in India and save equally here too? Not judging anyone since I am also one of those people who feels like a failure because I couldn't make it to onsite in last 7 years while many of my peers have.

Just saw that Airbnb's salary range for a 2+ years experience Data Scientist in US is 129k -180k USD.
In INR its 95L- 1.4cr. But in India do they pay even 30L to 4 years yoe?
Last year I saw such salary range for 4+ yoe in US. But in India its yet to increase.
In this quarter these companies have started negotiating in the name of US recession. Irony is salary range didn't decrease in the place where the recession is supposed to occur.

Had they come to us, our partners would have recommended a phased digital transformation journey to enhance value maximization and increase share of wallet.
