I’m doing great, made great connections and I’m always in high demand. Clients have even tried to poach me.
Consulting makes me feel like I’m starting a new job every few months as I enter a new organization.
But my husband wants me to stick it out being in a Big 4😩

Anyone with experience negotiating Big 4 consulting salary? Curious how flexible they are with the pay scales.

A white woman joined recently and everyone has bent over backwards to make her feel welcome and get her integrated into the group. Looking to get into SaaS sales but my experience is in construction and fine furniture (I was a sales manager and was able to lead my team of 4 people to consistently hit 450k monthly targets). What do you think is the acceptable cutoff time for when it’s no longer reasonable to expect an immediate response to email? I’ve been getting only a few hours of sleep for the past few days. Finally had a night where things seemed quiet and I fell asleep at like 8:45 pm! I honestly struggle with the politics of Afghanistan. It does appear that after 20 years we leave and within months it goes back to very similar or on its way. It’s not the US job to be the world police we did try to build coalitions and fail at the end of the day unless we’re willing to keep troops there forever which most Americans don’t want to I am not sure what the right thing to do is. And I’m sick of criticism just for the sake of the president. I don’t think there’s a perfect solution

Growing up was rough. On my 8th birthday my dad had an accident that led to this death a few days later. He was a good man who took care of us all (I had 3 siblings now 2; lost 1 few years ago). I'm in a good place in life right now I only find myself in the last 5years shedding a tear once a while when I'm alone.
