I don’t know even know what I’m good at anymore.
Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??
Updated my wifi SSID

I’m in industry and just had a consultant reporting to me laid off. He was staffed for likely the next year+ and we were very happy with his results. Blindsided us, no recourse. I genuinely do not understand what happened.
P1 - I thought the same thing at first, that he was just leaving or a behavioral thing, but my boss talked to project leadership and nope. There was some vague explanation but nothing concrete. Perhaps they’re not sharing the real reason, but I had a pretty good relationship with the guy and we talked after and he seemed genuinely blindsided, I did believe him.
I did!!! I had a shit 2020 with no projects from March to May but I was staffed above my level (M running a SM role) till March 2021 and still got canned. Wooohoooooo 🥳🥳🥳
It’s likely that person is at the high end of the salary range, therefore not profitable for the company. Company prefer newly promoted into level, because they tend to be cheaper.
Or that person isn’t networked well to the leader that owns the P&L
This makes no sense - Have a friend who’s got laid off as well in that situation
That’s scary
SC2 observation seems to fall in line with my best estimates for how it was handled at EY as well. They do a top down analysis of where sectors/groups are underperforming and give the leaders of each group some number to hit. From there each leader makes the choice of who to knock out. Not project related at all. More like subjective performance. The leader decides yeah person's performance based on their opinion of how they are doing and their path forward. So you can be 120 percent uilized but have a terrible relationship and they could can you for saying you aren't preforming on business development work for them. Lesson is always brown nose your bosses
Lack of work? Consulting has been hit pretty hard and probably won’t pick back up until 2022.
