Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

Love getting rejection letters for companies I applied for months ago. I’m on month 4 at a new role and still getting those emails
I had a colleague years ago that received a rejection letter for a job she had been working in for a couple months.
I know it doesn't help much, but you're right. Sending a quick rejection email takes literal seconds. The fact that they can't even be bothered says a whole lot more about them than you. Keep applying and keep your chin up, something is bound to work out soon enough.
Unfortunately, ghosting has become more of a norm, and companies are relying more and more on AI / ATS to filter applicants rather than reading the resumes themselves.
Not hearing from a company does not necessarily mean they are ghosting as they could not have received your application / resume, they are still evaluating who to move forward with, the hiring manager could be out, the recruiter being out, the recruiter being untrained, and/or the recruiter being lazy and not caring about their job.
Most of the application / resume acknowledgement and rejection emails are form letters and sent out automatically at the press of a key.
Even though we are in a bad economy and job market with thousands out of work there is no excuse for not getting back to a person either with an email or phone call if they took a look at your resume and/or moved you into either a phone screen or interview.
We are of similar ages, and the sad fact is we are just too old for most employers.
They don’t want to invest in someone who they believe is only going to be around a couple of years.
Age discrimination is illegal, but it’s almost impossible to prove, so companies ignore the law and put highly knowledgeable highly qualified people on the sidelines
It has always been that way. I did maternity leave contracts for years, also remember the joy of the GFC & being unemployed then & so was dealing with both recruiters and/or companies direct. In the GFC I think I applied for well over 1000 roles & received maybe two thanks but no messages.
When they wanted you, they were charming but would drop you as soon as you weren’t of use or you’d get zero back & no returned calls.
Ultimately it defines how they communicate & you don’t want to work there. You’ve got this so just keep applying & you’ll land somewhere marvellous

I am sorry but we are dealing with a bad economy and job market with thousands of people out of work and many more about to be laid off.
The world has changed, my friend, and not for the better as we are dealing with a younger generation that lacks the strong work ethic and people skills that we had learned and were brought up with.
Companies are now using AI and ATS systems to filter their applications to make it easier for them to do their jobs YET it is much harder on the applicants who want to work.
I learned, through a recruiter on YouTube, that just because there is a job posting on a job board does not mean it automatically filters into their ATS system.
It is no fun looking for work, WANTING to work, and then having people think that you are too old to learn new systems and skills. Yes, we might not be as tech savvy as the younger generations although we have things they NEVER will like a strong work ethic, willingness to work and do whatever it takes, people skills, and experience living in the real (not fantasy) world plus in our generation we had to learn how to fix things not just throw them away and buy new.

Most of my peers would disagree with you, but we can agree to disagree. Thank you for the apology. It wasn't necessary but is appreciated.
