Before applying for a Job opening, should you visit the company and run background checks on the employees?

I think it may be a good idea because you understand the work conditions better and you know if your coworkers are dangerous. I really just want a safe, comfortable job, without any issues with anyone.

Offering advice to job seekers who go around recruiters and message hiring teams, execs, etc. You are putting the Recruiters job in danger. If a Recruiter declines you or doesn’t choose to reach out, it is because the hiring team declined you, or you don’t have the experience. You will most likely not be considered for future roles because of this. When I see people giving advice to reach outside the Recruiter, it’s bad advice. Very rare is this a good idea.
