Being back in the office full-time leaves a lot to be desired. People have forgotten basic office etiquette, or so it seems. Is anyone else missing the mute button from remote work days? Because here in my office, I’m getting a front-row seat to personal drama (thanks to my coworker talking on his speaker phone) and coughing fits I didn’t sign up for (shouldn't you go home if you're sick???).

I think we all need a crash course in “how to office again.” My favorite part of remote work was being able to control the noise and, let’s be real, hit mute when needed!

I think society in general needs remedial help when it comes to simple courtesy and etiquette. In recent years rudeness and just being wildly inconsiderate has become the national pastime. Things that people would have been embarrassed to do or say a decade ago have become normalized. So when you pack people back in an office it's just horrendous.

THIS! The mute button was such a lifesaver, right? It's wild how quickly some people forget basic office etiquette after remote work. And yeah, the speaker phone and coughing fits really aren’t the best part of being back. I miss the quiet of working from home for sure!

Homeowners- how did you decide what neighborhood to buy in? I love the Arlington area (rosslyn thru ballston), but my husband would rather have more of the city experience. I’m open to seeing other neighbors but this is my wishlist:
- 1. clean, safe neighborhood - 2. Neighborhood with trees and decent shot at parking (and cheaper than Georgetown $14 parking). - 3. Cute & more upscale shops and restaurants. Do any DC neighborhoods fit this?

Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?
