EY 2 was as helpful as they come, not sure why you feel the need to push back. If you have a number in mind you are looking for just go with it. Asking for the forum to validate it for you doesn’t accomplish anything.
I don’t understand the attitude of the author. No one was wishing you ill will or providing bad advice. Hopefully all goes well for you.
You wouldn't have a salary as a Partner.
The numbers I cited were pulled from 2 industry sources for partner compensation at Crowe. They were base compensation with equity participation above that. I think new (1-3 year) partners in Big4 are starting at 375-425. I wouldn’t expect Crowe to be that far ahead of Big4 but who knows. Some new partners can correct me.
Curious. Why leave as a partner after only 3-4 years? I don’t know Crowe partner pension but could definitely see vesting issues at Crowe and prior firm. Maybe they’ll boost your comp more significantly than other new partners if they’re really trying to invest in advisory.
Crowe has pursued me as well for a partner role. They have been aggressive in the NYM lately.
Can the author share the number range?
Apologies for the delay- I had trouble resigning in after moving firms. I am the original poster. I just hit the one year mark at the new firm. Our fiscal year is in the summer but I should be in the 625-700 tc range depending on the final per unit. Overall, really happy with the move. Nothing was handed to me so had to build my book from scratch but am getting there. Much better firm, culture, people, career trajectory, but it’s a partner role at a big firm. So, constant stress, soul sucking, demanding clients, incompetent staff, internal competition etc. Hard to turn away from the money so you put up with it but I definitely have already put a countdown to retirement clock on my iPad… sorry for sounding like a d last year. I was in a really bad place but it’s like night and day at a new firm.
Cheers
