I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead. I’m 5 yrs out of college. Any advice?

Need some advice: I currently do corp dev and FP&A for a smaller company and just got an offer for about double my salary at a F200 company. The catch is I would no longer be doing corp dev, just FP&A. My goal is eventually to crack into ib, do you think I should take the job and the pay bump or stay at my current role and try to lateral in to ib.

Let me tell you, I love the flexibility at my firm, OK pay, and I do a great job, and am comfortable pushing back when I have too much work . BUT managers are terrible at planning and recently end up putting me in preventable situations where I need to work 55 hrs or have the staff work the 55 hours. I literally cannot since I have a family and my daughter is only in day care a few hours a day, I'm already doing my max work. Is it crazy that I may want to leave Bc I hate making ppl miserable?

I’ve been interviewing for new positions to leave PA. But in my current position, we’ve been adding quite a few new projects (and our team is partner, two staff, and me) that will probably start over the next couple of months. In weekend checked out VTP Peagusus project in Kharadi possession 2025. Project looks promising but when visited the site accept for the towers rest all be it roads or daily basis shops nothing is there yet but they say that till the time of possession roads and everything will be functional. The rate for 750 sqft carpet 2bhk they are giving for 74lacs and possession is 2023 May. Another 2025 possession 850 sqft carpet 2bhk for 79lacs.Hardly any difference in rate per sqft. Please suggest

I am the only developer in my team and my manager has assigned me a project in which I need to create a tool from scratch although that is currently running in production build by third party and we don't have access to that code.

I am on notice period and I am 100% sure that project won't be completed before my LWD.

What should I do, I asked him to put some extra team members but he didn't agree, seems like he will add extra team members 2-3 weeks before my LWD.

Mphasis is offering good but heard they have very less development projects and also wlb is not that good
LTI is also offering good and heard that again wlb is not good.
