No sure about software engineers but for consulting you be a Consultant (1 above analyst) and that range is typically 90-105k for non-tech types.
Recruiter seems to be being honest but could push for higher based on technical skill set.
D5, where do you live? I know someone from A who is also SA with 2YOE in DC, getting paid $120k, he’s doing some security stuffs. I think A paying more comparing to D
A software engineer on our project left for Deloitte, GPS, DC, with 5yr exp and got 140k. 3yr exp as a software engineer I would be aiming for 115+. Prices for everything are skyrocketing in the DC area.
My goal is getting into Amazon 😁
If you’re a software engineer, I would say that you should target the tech companies, not Deloitte. There’s nothing wrong with D, but the comp is just a different level at FAANG, Microsoft, etc.
I’m also applying to Amazon
Do you know if they’re aggressively looking to hire within GPS?
I believe they aggressively looking for now. I got couple D recruiters reached out to me
Federal or commercial?
Federal
GPS
Our commercial or federal practice? 3 YOE is prob Consultant level. $100k is more plausible for commercial - fwiw I came in as a federal consultant at $85k in 2018
Already getting $95k at A as SA
Depends on what you’re aligned to but range seems about right (mid band).
Our solutions engineers make a decent amount but nothing compared to TC from FAANG & Big Tech.
Does that come into play at year end I’m guessing?
Wow didn’t realize D salaries were so low for C
And less benefits
