not a credit card, and not for everyone but check out the crypto .com debit cards. The free one has 1% cashback
Interesting - 1% cash back in crypto or fiat?
Chase is running a 1% cashback offer for the first year. Worth using that for non-Amex payments but it's a debit card
Bps = Basis points. Card issuers typically fund rewards from interchange fees that are paid by merchants. In the US these can be > 2% of a transaction. In the UK and EU these are capped at .30% which means there isn’t a way to pay for rewards and so our credit cards don’t have lots of cash back or airline points.
I just use the plat amex, if you travel enough its worth it
Yeah have that - pre Covid it was well worth its money given all the travel, now it’s questionable

The Virgin Atlantic Rewards Credit Cards have the best non cashback earning rates, and are generous, but you need to be collecting or have some Virgin miles in the first place to make it worthwhile
John Lewis partnership card is what I run alongside my Amex
Basically just John Lewis vouchers - tend to come in handy for electronics purchases
Although only used when Amex isn’t accepted which is typically low frequency/value spending so don’t have many vouchers to burn through
HSBC premier mastercard
Are the points worth it?
Barclaycard hhonors. Gives you good membership once spend a certain amount mount plus points. Useful to use for hotel stays
