Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.
https://ergochair.co/collections/chairs/products/ergonomics-mesh-chair-w-adjustable-headrest-and-armrest?variant=32511617597491
My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.

Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

I think that is a bit excessive, since that 32” will probably be enough for 3 documents side by side. But if you’re willing to spend some cash, go for it.
I have a 24” 1080p screen with a basic keyboard and mouse and it’s great for working from home (I use the laptop as a second screen though). It’s the same thing as if I were in the office except I’m in PJs
I used to have that monitor as a single set up. My wife's work then gave her a dual 20" screen workstation. I really preferred the single 32" over the dual 20" monitor setup. 2x32 would be excessive. I also don't like the curved screen on a dual monitor setup which I tried at work.
Buy one screen, use the saved $ to buy a mechanical keyboard.
I have the exact same one in the link and can only imagine having one. Two of that size is excessive I’d say. This already takes up a fair amount of room on a large desk
I have two 28-inch wide screen monitors for my at-home station. One thing to note is that Citrix doesn’t always work across two at-home screens if you have a Mac - at least, it doesn’t for my firm’s network. I end up using the second monitor for everything else. Regardless, double wide monitors are the way to go, the more the merrier.
Overkill, you’re just doing word processing/emailing and browsing.
You shouldn’t need to go beyond 27” for this, and even then, 4k 27” is way too much. Stick to 1080p, unless you plan on doing something else with your home setup
If you’re doing transaction work, this just isn’t the case. Many associates will have open a PDF viewer, diligence response tracker spreadsheet, a redline, a precedent doc, and the actual document you’re drafting. Having all of that open in native resolution is a huge plus
I’m looking at this one in particular

I’d love to find a large non curved monitor with built in speakers. I hate having speakers cluttering up my desk. Any suggestions?
Get a TV. Monitors are basically TVs without speakers and less connections. TVs also offer more size options, and a 720p option will be around the same price.
Really depends on the kind of work you do. I just use one 24 inch at home, and it is more than enough for me. I even switch to my 12 inch macbook when I am just writing or editing a brief.
I have a 27" arranged in landscape and a 24" in portrait configuration. It's more than enough to have a few pages open while working. I agree that two 32" monitors might be overkill
I have dual monitors at work and have one curved 32in monitor in my home office instead. It's all I really need. Still works for research/brief writing without issue. Having two curved next to each other may be disorienting? If you're going to do dual monitors flat may work easier.
I have a 32” curved Samsung monitor in my home office and extend the screen to my laptop, great set up and helps me be just as productive at home as in the office, if not more so...
