Health question: Does anyone else suffer from nerve pain in their butt/hips from sitting all day? My research tells me it’s piriformis pain. It means my sit bones are irritating my butt muscle, which irritates my sciatic nerve. It can be excruciating and hurt even when I stand. I bought a fancy seat cushion for my office chair, and I have a standing desk. Nothing helps. The pain has been around for about a month. Anyone else?? What did you do?

Let’s talk office set ups. I am looking at a Uplift standing desk as my big splurge because I have back issues, and the room I work in has horrible lighting so I’m considering some sort of selfie light ring type thing that I can clip to my monitor. Would you ever ask an interviewer “what do you consider my weaknesses as a potential candidate?” Or something of that nature? I’ve been advised to ask it before and am curious. Of course this will be an opportunity to “defend” yourself or highlight your strengths, or propose what you’re doing to improve in those areas. Interested in some other perspective as I have a final interview later this week

As someone who never plans/wants to get married or have kids, I know I’ll never get back the money I spent on my friends’ weddings, bachelor parties, kids birthdays etc. I know that and I was fine with it because they’re my friends. But last weekend, I didn’t bring a gift to my friend’s kid’s 8th birthday party. Not cause I didn’t want to, but just ran out of time and honestly I don’t know what 8year olds are in to and I’ll just give the parents a gift cards later (cont)

Friend runs a company and hired a VP of Sales to help grow the business. Guy got some relocation $ and was supposed to start 2 months ago. Ever since he said his kid had an accident and from that point on kept pushing the start date back claiming he has to do something related to the accident. He hasn’t sent any proof to HR, has been requested twice claims he will but then doesn’t. And has pushed his start date back half a dozen times. How should I advice him to proceed?
