Pay the cash, that’s a very bad redemption.
Cash. When I spend 450k points the cash equivalent I look for is around $5.5k or higher.
Agreed
Cash. I would say that 100k points should generally equate to ~$1,000.
Yeah fair. Maybe breaking it down more, I feel I can get a category 5 hotel for 35k points that should could cost $300-$400/night.
Works out to not quite 0.4 cents per point. Seems like that’s about half of what different blogs are saying they’re worth, but I haven’t really followed the points values as much since covid.
Cash.

Cash. Check your corporate discount too and see if you can get any cheaper
Agree with everyone else this is a bad deal. Do you have other points like chase or something you can use? Out of curiosity where is this?
I’ve managed to snag some great 1cpp redemptions with Marriott. Hyatt is even better—going to Europe this year, staying at a fancy resort for 2.2cpp.
I managed a redemption in the Maldives for $0.06 per point. That’s my world record.
Wow that’s a bad redemption. I booked my honeymoon with less points that had a cash value of ~$11,000. Though that was an incredible deal
To give perspective, 1 night at the St. Regis Maldives is $3,500 and I booked for 100K. That’s a horrible redemption.
BoA1 you’ll love every minutes of it. Still have 1.6M points and can’t wait to go back.

As a follow up, I just booked my honeymoon for 680k points. Cash rate would be $32,000. What resort are you looking at out of curiosity?
