Strategy& fish - i’m currently recruiting for org strategy. Ive talked to associates (in the healthcare practice) and theyve mentioned that it doesnt matter whether youre in corp strategy, org strategy, etc and that you’re pretty much pooled by industry when it comes to staffing.
Can someone confirm this? Also, what do you expect the restructuring to look like?

Are you interviewing for a generalist consultant people & org role? At what level? For Consultant level, I’d guess cases are ~80% of eval
Of course! Good luck, and feel free to DM me if you need anything. Also happy to connect on LinkedIn.
If your job position is specifically for the People and Organization practice, then you’re applying for the Expert Track. You’ll likely have one case interview and two oral interviews, but this is somewhat subjective depending on what expertise we’d want to test you on.
Focus on knowing your topic. It’s much harder to enter the Expert track because you need to truly have industry-leading knowledge of your topic, or enter as a lower level Expert (I’d recommend entering as a Consultant, not Project Leader).
That is true, unfortunately. It’s really hard to evaluate experts through cases, so it’s really up in the air. Some of our experts are mid-career with 15+ years of experience that literally no one else in the world can bring, so doing a case eval might not make sense.
Trust your recruiter, they are there to help you. We need good experts since they are far and few.
