a case study of throwing good money after bad and management creating a system without the end users in mind with no one taking responsibility
Sounds like a typical big4 problem
It is the planet closest to the sun, obviously.
EY's big secret is trumping Elon Musk's whole Mars colony idea and going straight to the hottest planet in the system because that's how we roll.
It’s our new, global ERP system that is by far one of the worst from a UX/UI design perspective that I have ever seen. It replaced several applications that were approx. 10 years old. It’s amazing that they brought something on that actually takes more clicks and is slower than our previous applications.
They need to remove everyone who was involved in the design/deployment of the application and do a complete overhaul.
Agreed. In my entire life, out of the dozens of applications I’ve ever used: the only time an upgrade has ever ended up worse than the original, has been with EY products. They take a good thing, and, in the attempt to modernize- they create a completely shittier version of it.
LOL at all the staff who think Mercury is just for T&E. Just wait until you're involved with engagement management. Then you'll have a real reason to complain.
IKR!!
It’s how we submit time and expenses. It crashes constantly, is extremely slow and not user friendly, and just takes an hour+ a week to do all time and expenses (especially if you don’t know the charge code).
Mercury is way more than T&E. It's our entire ERP/CRM system.
Mercury is the time and expense entering system. It helps enforce firm policy when it comes to submitting allowed expenses, but in doing so, it requires much more time on the users end when entering time and expense submissions. People are angry about both the additional time required and enhanced restrictions on ability to run certain expenses.
What enhanced restrictions on certain expenses? If the expense is within policy you can expense it, Mercury hasn’t changed that. And it’s not just a T&E system, it’s an ERP system, T&E is just one module.
It’s a dark psychic force...which cost a fortune to implement and was sold to us by SAP
