I'm the main POC for our largest client in India in FMCG, and it's our 4th year without a challenge. I'm one step below CXos of the company and two others are in the same level as me. I'm thinking about looking for a smaller company (couple hundred to couple thousand employees) in the Dallas area and looking to find an amazing culture.

Question: can an employer legally withhold your personal possessions after you leave the firm? I left my old firm recently and they were not happy about me joining another consultancy. Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I was at Big 4 consulting for a year before lateraling to ACN recently. It’s been about 6 months at ACN. Now I have an industry offer for Product Manager, which has been my eventual goal. Would it be too soon to jump? Or should I stick around for better exits in a couple of years may be? I’m worried the frequent changes won’t look good on my resume
4 YOE overall, TC at Product Manager is about 20-25k > ACN.

I am in a bit of a good/bad spot. I have worked at Salesforce for close to a year as a consultant. They want to bring back travel to 50%+ post Covid and I am not feeling that motivated to be away from my family that often. I have an opportunity to join a startup as a Sr. PM likely making the same or a tiny bit less. But no travel and not consulting. All internal project. I don’t know what else I should be looking at. I am asking here cause you guys are all smarter than my childhood friends…
