Recently I had interview with tcs . During hr dicuession the hr person offered me 7.5lpa currently my CTC is 5lpa with wipro. Then later on we agreed to 8lpa during dicuession. So he told he will dicuess with senior level for approval for 8lpa then he release a sample ctc break up and asked me to accept it and he told he will release final offer after higher level discussion. I agreed for that. After two day he called me and offer only 6.8lpa. Why he changed this any idea? I declined.Surprising hr behaviour?

Okay, a personal finance cum stock related question. Let's say I want to invest in 1 blue chip company an amount around 2 lakh for 1 year ( post which I will sell off and any return generated will be tax free since LTCG on shares), which stock should I pick at the current levels. Even if the share gives a 50 % return (highly unlikely) I'll still be paying no tax on returns.
